I still like Battlefield, and I own a premium version, but I removed all the DLC since it's not played much. Also, new free maps are released regularly, so most players focus on those. Unless you're after specific weapons or want to play the DLC content, sticking with the standard edition should be fine.

I don't believe it's worthwhile, yet it's hard to predict the next conflict might bring another rigid stance, rendering patience pointless. My perspective has shifted away from EA, and that's solely my view.

It's still a good idea. Most servers need it, and the extra maps are worth the cost. I'd just hold off until it goes on sale.

I previously purchased Premium and really enjoy the DLC maps. Right now we're in a stage of BF4 where most popular PC servers are premium servers. If you can get it for $25 or less, I'd be happy to buy it.

Yes, but not just 150 hours playing. You begin a trial that runs for 150 hours, regardless of whether it's active in-game or not
