Hi! I enable PBO for manual configuration, using a 200 offset with custom power and current restrictions. The BIOS saves properly, but these settings don’t carry over when starting Windows. PPT TDC EDC remains unchanged from the original. I verify this in Ryzen Master, which confirms the values match the stock specs. The CPU runs at 3950 MHz with CinabenchR15 at 1.37 V (79°C), while Ryzen Master shows a power cap around 80W. If I turn on full overclocking, it bypasses both power and voltage limits. At 4200 MHz with 1.37 V (84°C), the CPU would only need about 95W. The current limits are way below stock requirements. My aim was to increase maximum clock speeds without altering dynamic idle clocks or voltages. I believe the main constraint is the power limit. Manual settings must be reset after each reboot, so I opted for PBO override to maintain flexibility. Thanks for your time. It could be due to restrictions in Ryzen Master itself. Your motherboard might have a feature to enable or disable these limits, which might be the problem. Additionally, Ryzen Master could display the settings that would appear if you applied them directly.

The main constraint is the board itself. A straightforward configuration with a low tier and simple OC setup (whether for User or SenseMi). If you need it to enter standby with PBO, consider switching Windows to power-saving mode. Make sure your Desktop display and HDD sleep timers are adjusted to your preferences so it doesn’t shut down unexpectedly. My B450M-A closely resembles this board. It’s not ideal for fine-tuning Ryzen processors. Outside of that, I can share some helpful tips from OC forums that might assist you. (Also, if you’ve reset the CMOS, try setting Ryzen Master to defaults and then restart.)

I dont think thats true. The board can handle the CPU very well for overclocking, the 3600 that is bad for binning and clocks. Thats a lower tear product. I can push mine easily to 4250 MHz all core with this board. The 3600 is a terrible overclocker. I did some digging, gamers nexus gives a great explanation for PBO and auto overclocking: On the other hand, i found an other setting for socket power that actuall works in the bios. PBO is only for raising power and current maximums, Auto Overclocking would raise your boost clocks. But in my case none of them helped. I guess ryzen boost clocks are more dependent on temperature, like GPU-s. I enabled auto OC and there is no power limit any more, but these did not raise my clocks....

I don't rely on PBO since it doesn't work well; I usually pick performance enhancer or sensemi offset. PBO does increase power limits for higher boosts, but at 1.37v you're probably near the VRM capacity of 100 amps if that's the case.

Current allowance is 114 A, yet the fets hold 70 A each; I wouldn’t operate them close to that level.

Buildzoid shows how manual PBO can improve performance. The only thing that stands out as possibly preventing manual PBO limits is the use of XMP, which appears directly below tweaker settings. I might be mistaken, but I'm trying my best.
