Check if the RX 6400 graphics card fits your 250w setup and find a suitable power supply for your HP Compaq Elite 8300. Look for options that match your system's requirements and availability in your area.

Which version of the preassembled workstation do you own? What is the age of your current power supply unit? If the PSU was included with the setup, you may require a more powerful unit even for a brand-new one.

If you have an old computer from eight years ago, it might still be possible to install a new power supply unit. You can look for a PSU that matches its specifications. Since you recently bought an RX 6400, checking compatibility with a 240W PSU could be a good starting point. Be sure to verify the requirements before purchasing.

The RX 6400 works poorly in a PCIe3.0 slot, and if the PCIe slot is actually PCIe2.0, performance drops even more. Consider using a low-profile GTX 1050 Ti or GTX 1650 instead.

What power supply should I get for my graphics card? Like the model, brand, wattage.

I need to upgrade the graphics card and power supply of my HP Compaq Elite 8300. It's an older machine, so can I still use a higher PSU than the standard 240 watts? Also, with my RX 6400 low profile card, will it work properly on a 240 watt power supply?

No need to upgrade the PSU for a slot with a powered GPU.
