Hi, your Acer gaming PC stopped working recently. After some tests, you think the problem is with the power supply. But when you tried swapping it with a friend's PSU, the connections didn't match. Could it be that only certain PSUs fit this system, and if so, which ones would work?

Because the motherboard in the ready-made unit features unique connectors, you must rely on the PSU that came with it.

If the pc remains under warranty, contact Acer or check if a replacement psu is available since standard ones are unavailable.

Could you try using a 24 pin to 6 pin ATX cable adapter and purchasing a new PSU, or might this lead to issues?

Hey there, it seems there might be problems with the adapter unless it includes a way to adjust the standby voltage. Standard ATX power supplies use +5DC standby (VSB), while the newer ATX12V0 model offers +12VDC standby (VSB). This difference suggests a pin re-arrangement adapter likely won't function properly.
