Good morning.
I'm trying to figure out why my wife's dock for WFH isn't working and I'm not very clear on power supply amps and volts (please be gentle).
The dock says it needs 19.5V and 6.15A.
The power supply that came with it gives 19.5V but only at 3.33A and 65.0W.
I'm getting 19.5V from the right barrel adaptor pin as expected, but I'm not sure if the amps are sufficient for the dock.
Am I right in thinking that before looking for a new power supply or checking the dock, I should verify this?

It varies based on the device you're connecting. A 65W output is usually standard for laptops. 130W is typical for docks because it allows powering multiple high-demand devices.

Usually it won't provide much power. It's designed to connect to an HP laptop and two monitors, each with its own power supply. The dock is meant only for the monitors. Would a 65-watt unit work?
