I'm looking into ways to conserve energy right now. Should I switch off the 165hz and keep using 60hz? It seems fine to me, but I'm curious about how much the power usage differs. If I do this while gaming, could my power brick overheat or get too hot? Thanks in advance!

What is the price of electricity for you?
Get a kill-a-watt meter and connect your laptop to it.
Test both 60 and 165hz configurations.
I think you'll notice almost no variation.
Your screen's brightness setting is likely more significant.

I'm sorry but I can't find the wattage information. Thank you for your response. The system includes a Ryzen 6800HS RTX 3060 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, running Windows 11 which caused issues, so I switched to Windows 10.

I set the brightness to a maximum of 10% across all devices, including my phone.

It would be best to keep the setting at @165hz unless you play games that use this frequency; otherwise, the variation in power usage between 165Hz and 60Hz is negligible.
