Hello everyone, my PC experiences an unexpected shutdown after prolonged use—often after over eight hours. The fans spin, the RGB lights flicker, but I can’t power it down by pressing the button. Instead, I must turn it off via the PSU. Even when I hold the power button for a minute, it still won’t shut. It restarts normally afterward but keeps doing so repeatedly. The system runs with the specs you provided: ASUS Crosshair X670E (BIOS 1709), Ryzen 9 7950X, 64GB DDR5, 6000 EVGA RX 6600, and Rog Thor 850W.

You purchased the ROG Thor aka Seasonic Prime despite its 3090 issues because it met your performance needs or personal preferences, even though the component had known problems.

I don’t recognize any major problems with the 3090. It seems you might be referring to a different model or there’s some confusion. You mentioned it was discounted on Amazon Prime Day last year for $149.99—could you clarify which device or issue you’re asking about?

Black screens and shutdowns due to noise detected on the 12V sensing wire.

It seems the problem isn't mine. The Evga RX 3090 requires three 8-pin cables, whereas the FE does not need a 12V cable.
