the intel i5 1135g7 laptop only reaches up to 15 watts and remains at that level consistently. the processor is operating at half its capacity. there might be a solution—checking the system via msi after burner diagnostics and monitoring game performance could help identify the issue.

It could be due to thermal throttling. Based on Ark, it's adjustable—check your BIOS settings to confirm the feature is available.

Not due to thermal throttling. It's power limit throttling. Intel noted that earlier 10th Gen G7 chips had a 15W TDP rating. From the 11th Gen G7 onward, Intel stopped listing that figure in its public specs. The laptop brand probably relies on an embedded controller to stick to the 15W cap. Ignoring ThrottleStop adjustments when the EC enforces 15W is typical. A solid BIOS for a desktop CPU lets you tweak thermal limits, but laptops using low-power CPUs rarely offer this. If you need control, check the ThrottleStop Options for PROCHOT Offset settings. Adjusting it can shift the thermal cap—30 reduces it from 100°C to 70°C. Some Lenovo models do this for flexibility; consider using the Lock PROCHOT Offset feature if needed.
