I started by removing everything before listing my test steps.
I switched to a different board that had identical components and worked fine. I purchased an MSI board at Best Buy on sale for $130 instead of dealing with an Asus RMA issue.

I found your comment unusual. I still checked the original message—I don’t think you’ve understood my side. Those two pins only handle one small contact for turning on. They do detect that contact, so there’s no corrosion issue. Edited May 27, 2023 by leclod
