Releasing power restrictions on most motherboards usually needs a unique BIOS, tailored for each model. These settings aren’t widely available since they’re tied to safety and prevent damage. While certain MSI products might offer alternative approaches, it’s likely limited to particular models.

There are solid Intel boards that allow you to adjust turbo power settings freely. If your BIOS doesn’t support this, you can rely on software to manage the limits. Certain laptops restrict these adjustments, while most desktop boards offer flexibility.

I might have considered GPUs, definitely some AMD options come to mind.

It seems likely the intel board is fine. There appears to be some software mentioned by @unclewebb, edited on June 11, 2022 by Bombastinator.

For Intel 12400/F, unlocking power limits isn't necessary as it only affects a maximum of 2% FPS change.

Refers to the 9th generation board. If nothing has been purchased yet, I noticed a used 4590k machine listed in the classifieds—it could still be sufficient. Streaming isn’t ideal, but it fits the capabilities of older systems.

Check the BIOS for the PL1 and PL2 turbo settings. I like to adjust them with ThrottleStop during Windows.
