I recently purchased my first dedicated video card, a GIGABYTE GTX 1660 non TI. In MSI Afterburner I can't adjust the power limit beyond 100%, not even in the Aorus engine. What's going on with my card? Also, is it safe to overclock the GPU? I've heard that doing so can shorten its lifespan.

Press the oc button and it will automatically find the optimal settings for you. Adjust the power slide to its maximum, around 100, and set the memory to +1000. Keep the voltage unchanged. Tap the oc button in the top left corner. After ten minutes, it will generate an oc for you. Simply press apply and you're ready to go.

Could there be risks involved? Is it accurate that increasing the clock speed shortens the GPU's lifespan?
