Goal is 4470MHz across all cores. Previously, 4.4GHz all-core performance was stable without any crashes during benchmarks, games, or video editing. I'm checking what factors affect the CPU—temperature, voltage, or heat. When I tested at 4.4GHz, idle temps were around 35°C, gaming ranged 55-70°C, and sustained 86°C with Prime95 or Cinebench. If I can match those results on the 4470MHz overclock, is it safe? My motherboard is X570 MSI Meg ACE, paired with a 1600W Corsair AX1600i PSU. I also have an EVGA FTW 3 Ultra RTX 3090 overclocked, which stays under 70°C during gaming. Thanks!

Heat damages a CPU. Raising the voltage boosts the temperature. Even though the voltage directly affects heat generation, managing it helps extend the CPU's useful life. I still have a 3930K that I've been using extensively. It keeps running smoothly. I just double-checked the temperatures and everything is fine. CPUs are fairly durable. You don't need to be excessively careful, but if you're concerned about overclocking shortening the chip's lifespan, avoid it completely.
