Typically, when you take your PC to a nearby store, they can assist you with that.
The new PSU is the ROG Strix 1200 Aura, is it correct? Did you only use the cables that came with that PSU?
I contacted someone to check if this is feasible. Living in a small area makes it hard to find local options.
Yes, all cables from the new PSU, including the plug, are working.
My computer has stayed on all day today with just two sticks of RAM, though I keep getting WHEA warnings. No crashes have occurred yet, but it's uncertain when this might happen.
if you never changed the bios during installation it might be using an outdated firmware. this could lead to unusual behavior if the wrong microcode is used. before updating, set the bios to default settings and save before restarting. then update the bios again. finally, enable xmp or whatever ram equivalent that supports it.
Apologies for the oversight, the BIOS has been completely refreshed, yet all settings remain at their standard values. Would it still be beneficial to activate XMP, or is DOCP the correct option as indicated in the Asus BIOS?
it seems like the CPU might be failing, either due to a problem or a quirk with the motherboard. I plan to check the motherboard since I have an ASUS board that has been acting up, causing power errors. The PSU is fine because I ran stress tests and it just restarts without reason. Personally, I’ll switch my B550 board to an ASRock or Gigabyte one, as those boards have had no issues so far. Their BIOS looks more stable compared to ASUS and MSI.
I haven't encountered any problems with the ASUS board I own or used in projects for others, except for rare BIOS issues shortly after a platform release. I purchased the x570-f from ASUS.
I didn't mention that your CPU might still be covered under AMD's warranty, which typically lasts three years. Here is the page I'm looking at. It could be beneficial to submit an RMA request promptly for the CPU, even if it's just outside the warranty period. AMD will likely provide a replacement with minimal questions.
Thanks! I truly thought my CPU was out of warranty, but I’m hoping it’s still covered. I’ve already sent an RMA request and will keep an eye on the response.
