Power issue with USB?
Power issue with USB?
My keyboard and mouse, along with a few other USB devices (assuming I haven't checked), often stop functioning unexpectedly, typically when using my PC. When the wireless Xbox controller loses power, the PC can't detect any input from it, but the controller remains connected. After a hard reset, everything works properly, though sometimes the USB devices stay off and require another shutdown and restart. I've tried various solutions—from turning off selective suspend to reinstalling Windows or even replacing the power supply. Here are my specifications and I'm looking for some advice.
Hello there! Here are some questions about your setup.
What BIOS version are you using for your motherboard?
What temperatures do you observe during freezes? Are you using a stock cooler for the processor?
BIOS version F51l, and I’m not sure about the temperatures. Once it happens, I can’t check them while the mouse isn’t working. The temps should be low, since this occurs when I scroll on the web. I do use the stock cooler for the processor, but I’m not sure if that would cause an issue.
It might be related to the motherboard, though I'm not sure how to fix it.
I looked into my reliability history and found the following details:
