Hello, you're starting your first build with all parts except the CPU. You've checked everything to make sure components are working and connected the necessary headers and cables. When you turned on the PSU, nothing happened. You tried testing the fans with a paper clip, but they still didn't start after connecting to the motherboard. After removing RAM, SSD, and extra cables, only the motherboard and PSU remain unresponsive. It seems your motherboard might be dead or not receiving power properly. It varies by motherboard. A few might work while others might not. I'm not certain how Gigabyte's B650 series performs, but it seems unlikely it would run smoothly without proper setup.
