I returned to find my computer off and the clocks had reset. I thought the power had dropped. Since I often leave my PC on, I turned it back on, but it didn’t start properly afterward. All fans were spinning and the CPU light was lit on the motherboard. After a minute, nothing changed and the screen remained blank. I decided to switch off and then back on the PSU, and it worked fine. I restarted the PC and tried turning it off and on again, but it didn’t happen. I’ve never had power outages before, so this seems unusual. Am I worried it might mean something is wrong? Is this typical behavior? Or could there be damage? The PSU model is a Corsair RM850x.

It might be a coincidence. If the power didn’t shut off smoothly, it could have left the motherboard in an odd condition, which is one of those unusual outcomes. That’s why turning it off completely from the PSU switch is usually advised when issues arise.
