Did you configure your PC for PCIe 4? Your motherboard might default to Gen 2 because it’s the older standard and many devices still support it.

The board appears to be a newer model released in generation 3, so it likely went back to that version. edit: You mentioned soft tubing—did you want me to include that?

Typically it flips the other way; the module defaults to Gen4 when supported, but with a riser you must set it to Gen3.
