Hello everyone, my Ryzen 7 7800X3D only uses 15-20 watts during games such as CP2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Mount & Blade Bannerlord, CSGO, World of Warcraft, etc. I suspect there could be three main causes... High CPU power settings, CPU throttling due to temperatures staying between 55-65°C, and a faulty PSU (though my RX 7900XTX draws over 400 watts). Could it be that software is restricting the CPU performance? Are there any issues with Windows or BIOS settings? I play in 4K or 2K resolutions, and both CPU and GPU run at base clock.
You determine the amount by checking the design specifications or measuring the drawing dimensions.
are you getting bad fps? If not I don't see anything to complain about. What is the cpu's usage in game? Maybe try downloading msi afterburner and use the rivatuner overlay
Running at 70-90 FPS with CP/HL 4K high quality, no upscaling, and 20-35% RT usage while the GPU hits 98-100% will trigger MSI Afterburner installation post-work.
That's all right. There are no issues there; the 7800X3D works perfectly as an efficient chip.
