I'm checking the eBay listing for the 3600 at roughly $177 with the coupon applied. While it seems like a solid offer, many are discussing its potential price drop during major sales events like Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Some believe a significant reduction is unlikely due to high demand and production challenges. What are your thoughts?

The likelihood is that prices for Ryzen 3000 series desktops won’t fall significantly since demand remains strong. Until AMD introduces the 4000 series, a substantial drop seems unlikely. It might be worth checking bundle offers (CPU plus case), as those could provide better value.

What discount are you aiming for on a $200 chip? I think it’s a modest reduction due to the holiday season and steady demand through mid-2020.

The $177 offers a solid deal considering its demand. I’m thinking about waiting until Christmas or later, but I need to upgrade my PCs soon due to some issues. I’m torn between the 2700x and the 3600—totally going for the 3600 unless the 2700x prices fall even lower.

The idea of purchasing PC gear is simply buy it and move on, not reconsidering based on performance needs. It varies depending on the desired frame rate goals.

Never sure, could boost sales. Ryzen tends to see solid drops around Black Friday, and bundles are likely to be good. The 2700 would cost about $20 less. If you're using 1440p, it's not that much slower than a 3600 in most games.
