I recently encountered some problems with my Aorus B450 Pro Wi-Fi. Everything functions properly for a few days. I can stream videos and play games without issues. Recently, my PC stopped working during gameplay. I assumed it was overheating, but the temperatures stayed low—CPU around 50°C and GPU at 70°C. I believe those are normal levels, though I’m worried it could overheat if it goes above 90°C. When I tried to power it on, the RAM didn’t activate at all. If I hadn’t pressed the power button, nothing happened. Pressing it did turn RAM on, but the RAM still didn’t light up. Removing the GPU didn’t fix the issue. I attempted a CMOS reset, but the same problems persisted. Pressing the power button off at the back of the PSU caused a brief LED flash, followed by a pause of about three seconds before the RAM lit again. The fans didn’t work either. Now everything except the RAM lights is nonfunctional. Any suggestions? Here are my specs: CPU – Ryzen 5 2600, GPU – GTX 1070 Ti, RAM – 32GB (8x4 at 3000MHz), motherboard – Aorus B450 Pro Wi-Fi (ATX), cooling – MSI Coreliquid, PSU – Aigo DarkFlash 750W (80+ Bronze).
Troubleshooting actions: 1. Reconnect all internal cables 2. Tested each RAM stick separately in every port, then swapped them together 3. Reset CMOS by grounding with a screwdriver for 10 seconds while power off 4. Used another monitor and HDMI cable; also consider connecting an internal speaker to the board to verify post code errors
The simplest approach is to remove one part at a time and check for problems. For instance, if you need an image on the screen, focus only on the motherboard, CPU power, and the graphics card. Remove all four RAM modules and install just one in the final slot to see if the computer boots. If it doesn’t, try another slot. If that fails, test the remaining three RAM sticks one by one. This method helps identify if a single component is faulty. It’s possible a slot or RAM stick is defective, or there might be another issue. Your explanation suggests a short circuit could prevent startup, or the motherboard chipset might not recognize the power supply properly. If the chipset passes, you should notice at least some CPU fan activity trying to overcome the issue. Since RAM is powered at 5V or 3.3V, not 12V (for CPU and GPU), the power supply might not fully engage.
No, the PSU fan doesn’t spin at all. The only functioning part is the RAM module. Nothing else works. I’ll test the RAM on my other motherboard to check if it functions. I’m not sure what BIOS version the board uses because I can’t access the post screen.
I'm having trouble accessing the post screen. It seems like there might not be a display problem.
Hey guys, just an update regarding my pc. After bench test each component , i still can't find the problem. Nothing changed. I even tried on my old board ( which works before this ( with same components but different psu), and suddenly didn't work now) . So im guessing either my cpu is dead, or my psu. Will try on different psu and see how it works. Hopefully my psu is the problem . Im broke af to buy new cpu.
