Hello! I've faced this problem for a few days now and have tried many solutions, but things are getting tough. I'm reaching out for advice since I'm really struggling. The machine experiences three distinct problems: first, the fans keep cycling on and off until I power it down completely—this results in no screen display. Second, sometimes it powers on without turning off, but neither my monitor nor keyboard/mouse activate. Third, if things go well, everything boots into BIOS, though I can't proceed further because it won't load Windows and just goes black. Even after entering BIOS, the fans remain active, leaving no display. After exiting, the system stays on, but I can't see anything. To summarize, the computer doesn’t actually shut down properly either; once in BIOS, fans stay on and I lose the screen. - To add, the machine doesn’t fully power off either—after exiting BIOS, fans continue running and the display disappears. - I’ve done a lot of troubleshooting: reset CMOS battery, reconnected all cables (power supply, fans, SSDs, etc.), tested PSU and SSDs in other machines, checked GPU and RAM, wiped the main SSD to remove Windows 11, reinstalled Windows 10, reset BIOS settings, removed each RAM stick one by one. None of these steps resolved the issue. - The specs are: Blaze 2 from Skytech Case, Skytech Blaze 2 Tempered Glass, Wraith Stealth Cooler, AMD Ryzen 7 2700 8-core at 3.2GHz, ASROCK B450m motherboard (BIOS 2.70), 32GB DDR4 3000MHz RAM, Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB, 500GB SSD, 550W PSU (Gamaladios Kratos M1). I recorded the computer showing these problems. This machine was a prebuilt in 2020 from Skytech, and while other issues existed, I wasn’t prepared for this level of trouble. I’m desperate because I rely on streaming to make a living. I don’t have a nearby technician and can’t afford replacements. My main concern is whether the motherboard needs replacing—it’s the only part we considered fixing. I also worry about BIOS settings possibly being faulty. With a budget of $90 max, any replacement would be costly. Edited July 18, 2022 by InfernalSeris – missed some minor details in the specs."
After careful inspection, the remaining parts to verify are your motherboard and CPU. Ensure the CPU makes solid contact with the motherboard; if so, proceed to check the motherboard for any damaged components.
I replaced the CPU and fan, but the problem persists as described earlier. I don’t have any option to have my motherboard inspected for damaged parts, though I’m not surprised if that’s the cause. We often face power outages in my area, so it’s possible something went wrong during one of them.
Since you mentioned power outage then it might be possible that some fuses got fried during power outage/ fluctuations, if you are lucky then it will be a cheap repair at your local electronic repair shops. But you should buy a mother board, given your budget you might get a good deal on eBay
