Connect the diagnostic speaker and start with the simplest hardware setup to upload the board. If you hear more than one beep, the board works correctly—check the AMI beep codes afterward. If no beeps come out at all, the board is likely dead; removing the memory will show a count, and for the video card, a missing card should produce a single long beep followed by eight short ones.
