Avoid a full reset, it won't solve the issue. UAC often demands admin privileges. Likely you moved from Windows 7 to Windows 8, right? UAC on Windows 7 can be turned off completely. It doesn't work on Windows 8 or MSX, though you can slightly adjust the settings—it still shows as disabled. You'll probably need to accept permission prompts for certain programs.

I don't think you fully grasped my issue. Certain actions like saving a game in Skyrim only function properly when run as an administrator, and Premiere Pro requires admin access to save files.

You'll need a method to save your information and then perform a complete reset.

Apologies for the confusion. In this scenario, avoid a complete system reset. Just managing ownership of C:\ should resolve the problem. THIS GUIDE will show you the steps.
