Post-conflict landscape shaped by hardline actions.
Hey everyone, I've been playing a few BF games like 2, 3, 4, and 1943. They're solid in their own way, but Hardline shifts the vibe to more urban settings, which I prefer. It feels different from the big open maps with lots of tanks and explosions that BF was known for. My question is: What changes will come with Hardline? Will future BF games stick to the cops and robbers style, or will they return to the open-world feel of earlier titles?
I believe DICE will focus on the war theme, while Viceral Studios might lean toward cops and robbers. The BF series could alternate between themes, with a year of a War-themed game followed by a Cops and Robbers installment, repeating this pattern over time. I’m not sure, but it sounds like a realistic possibility in my view.
Hardline appears to be a fresh brand developed by another studio. DICE will handle regular BF/BC titles, while Visceral will produce sequels if Hardline succeeds. EA might attempt to compete with COD, which releases annually, by switching between these two brands.
Theme ideas for different years:
First year – War theme, random theme
Second year – War theme, another random theme
Third year – random theme
Fourth year – similar to COD’s approach with Treyarch, alternating releases.
