Hey all~ Since I'm not really good at all this, knowing how to upgrade a pc/laptop thing, I'm an amateur at best lol, Was hoping I could get some help in figuring out what possible better/ungraded hardware I could possibly put into my laptop to make it run better and faster overall. And if I can slap in a NVIDIA 1070 or 1080 at all into this laptop. Mt overall Check list is to swap out and change the monitor, Have a faster SSD in it, faster ram and like I said, to be able swap in a 1070 or 1080 ti into it. Here's it's current spec sheet: Creation date: 5/11/2020 01:03:52 PM OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Build: 18363 Partition name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home|C:\Windows|\Device\Harddisk0\Partition4 Architecture: 64-bit Model Number: HP - 15-dc0096nr Status: OK Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation System drive: C: System directory: C:\Windows\system32 Number of processes: 220 Registered user: Shadow Twilight Windows directory: C:\Windows Primary: True Last boot up time: 11-05-2020 12:40:34 Locale: 0409 Install date: 22-04-2020 18:16:55 Boot device: \Device\HarddiskVolume4 Country code: 1 Number of users: 2 System device: \Device\HarddiskVolume6 Max process memory size: 131071 MB (128 GB) Encryption level: 256-bit Kernel type: Multiprocessor Free CPU Name: Intel® Core™ i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz Number of logical processors: 12 Max frequency: 2208 MHz (2.21 GHz) Socket: U3E1 Status: OK L2 cache: 1536 KB (1 MB) L3 cache: 9216 KB (9 MB) Architecture: x64-based processor Manufacturer: GenuineIntel Current frequency: 2208 MHz (2.21 GHz) Family: Intel64 Family 6 Model 158 Stepping 10 Cores: 6 Thread count: 12 Revision: Unknown Device ID: CPU0 Current voltage: 12-volt Role: CPU Processor type: 3 Load: 51% Level: 6 Part number: To Be Filled By O.E.M. Well, because it's a laptop, you can connect it to another monitor just like a desktop would, though you can't switch the built-in screen. You might be able to upgrade or replace the RAM and possibly the storage drive. The graphics card usually stays the same, as only a few models offer real upgrade options.

Initially, maximum GPU designs are soldered, making it impossible to swap in a new one. Since MXM graphics cards are no longer available, it's unlikely you own one. The only option to boost graphics performance is using a Thunderbolt connector (typically Type C with a Thunder logo). For the SSD, it’s simply a standard 2.5-inch drive. If your laptop’s RAM is soldered, verify you have a spare 200-pin slot available.
