My SSD requires reformatting because it's been filled with unnecessary files and games aren't running smoothly. Sometimes I have to switch from the main drive to get things working. Has anyone tried installing Windows 10 on gaming PCs before? How realistic is that? Is this just a chaotic situation with few games launching correctly? What about regular programs like Steam, Corsair Link, or the Corsairs K70 RGB driver?

Execute it as a partition instead of a full installation.

Run it in a virtual machine. Avoid using it for gaming; it isn't optimized and may cause frequent crashes.

Top choice currently! However, I’d think it’s worth looking at once RTM for W10 is out, or the 1.0 release comes along—but definitely not before that. Otherwise, you’ll face a lot of issues with unsupported parts or random BSODs. Not recommended.

I tested it this morning in VirtualBox. It works perfectly.

If anything works smoothly in VirtualBox, it feels great on VMPlayer too.

VM's typically operate fine, though 8 was a mess during setup. But once installed, everything ran smoothly.

Windows 10 works well on my machine, but I’m having issues with GPU driver support.
