Hey there, I'm trying to figure out what's going wrong. Someone else might have faced the same problem, which could help identify the cause. When I attempt to reset the PC into environment mode, it keeps looping and ends up in BIOS. The post doesn't show any RAM issues, the yellow light stays on, and BIOS loads fine. From BIOS, I normally boot into Windows 11. This happened for the first time a few months ago after reinstalling Windows, and the issue disappeared then. Now that I've updated Windows again, it's coming up once more. Everything seems to point to Windows being the culprit, but it's really puzzling since this wasn't an issue on any previous build. My PC specs are: a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with 16GB DDR5 RAM (2x16GB), 6000MHz CL36, and it's listed as Asus TUF B650 Plus Wi-Fi. The BIOS version is 2613, and they just released 2615, but I'm not sure if I should update yet. I also have an RTX 4080 and haven't had any crashes, BSOs, or game issues before.
It launches into Windows but skips the advanced restart setup, landing straight into BIOS. I'm trying to understand why this advanced restart option isn't working now, especially since it was accessible before the recent Windows update. I had similar issues during PC assembly, which were resolved after a full reinstall a few days prior. I'm not sure what's causing this problem.
I rely on EXPO 1 and keep RAM in the same memory plane as the CPU.
I discovered the problem during EXPO on RAM. After turning it off entirely, I could usually restart my PC without any issues. It's unclear whether the issue lies with the RAM, memory cards, or the CPU controller. The most puzzling part was that once in Windows, I didn't face any problems playing games or running applications.
