Your computer appears to lose power to USB ports unexpectedly. It began a few weeks ago while playing games with friends, and all your peripherals—headphones, mouse, keyboard, and microphone—disconnected simultaneously. The system didn’t freeze; you could still see everything on the screen, but you couldn’t use it. You’ve only managed to restart once by holding the power button, though it became more frequent over time, often every five minutes. I suspect a driver problem, so you reinstalled Windows several times, which helped temporarily. After a week of normal operation, it started happening again. You tried unplugging and plugging devices back in, but Windows kept showing the "USB device malfunctioning" error.

Your setup details:
- OS: Windows 11 64-bit
- Motherboard: MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4
- CPU: i7-12700K
- GPU: RX 7900 XT
- Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x SHIFT Fully Modular ATX

Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks for your response! Here are some additional details you might find useful: before updating Windows, my computer would automatically power itself back on after shutting down. It only stayed off when I manually turned it off using the power button. I had already adjusted settings like fast boot and wake-on-LAN but didn’t resolve the issue. I’m wondering if a faulty USB device could be triggering this behavior. Also, there was a long delay when I powered off the PC, accompanied by a short beep—this doesn’t seem like a normal shutdown sound. I have all my peripherals connected via USB, and I suspect something might have changed around the time I added the USB hub and RGB headphone stand. They support passthrough charging, which could potentially draw excessive power. I’ve inspected every connection and component, but everything looks fine. My graphics card and power supply are recent, so I’m not sure if they’re the cause. This happens unexpectedly, making it hard to reproduce. I’ll let you know if it occurs again after removing the headphone stand and hub!
