Ports on the motherboard failed during operation.
While using my computer today, most of my USB ports ceased functioning. Only the USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard and the Type C port on my graphics card remained operational. All USB 2.0, 3.1, and Type C ports on the motherboard plus the front Panel USB 3.0 were non-functional. In Windows Device Manager, the USB 3.1 controller displayed an error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)." Other USB controllers appeared to be working normally. Could a USB driver be available for reinstallation? I didn’t locate one on the motherboard website. Are there alternative steps I could take without replacing the entire motherboard? Specs: Ryzen 7 2700X, Asrock B450, Steel Legend MSI Armor RTX 2070.
No one else seems to have touched your computer. It’s highly improbable (assuming everything functions properly), but you could have been completely wiped via USBKilled. Possible reasons: 1. Controller stopped working 2. Driver was accidentally removed You should be able to get the chipset drivers for that motherboard from the ASRock website.
