Check your devices and network setup. Use two network ports together to boost download and upload speeds. If you need guidance, let me know!

Link aggregation isn't functioning as expected. Although SMBv3 supports local transfers, it hasn't been properly deployed in any system yet.

SMB3 Multichannel is available on Windows 8 and later versions of Windows Server. It activates automatically unless your setup lacks multiple RSS-compatible network cards. While I haven't tested it directly, it's expected to function properly in a Windows 2012/8 environment without any extra setup.

Connecting the two ports would link the switch to both devices, allowing them to communicate together. Turning them on simultaneously could enable simultaneous access or data transfer between the computers and network drives.

It's good to hear, I've been wanting to explore the multi-channel support but often overlook it.

It's also accessible and functions within FreeNAS, operating similarly on other setups such as Ubuntu Server that rely on SAMBA. But it isn't turned on by default—similar to Windows, you need to modify the smb*.cofig file.

I'm using Windows 10 with Unraid installed on my PCs and a network NAS.

Both platforms back SMBv3 support—try implementing it if available. Verify your Unraid setup to turn it on, as Windows already enables it by default. Be aware that using mechanical drives may cause storage performance issues soon.
