Your budget is under $500, preferably under 300 with discounts available.
The notebook size you're thinking of is 15 inches or smaller.
You prefer a screen resolution of 1080p.
You don’t need a portable or desktop replacement laptop.
You require at least 6 hours of battery life.
You’re not looking to play games, but if you do, please list the games and their desired settings.
You’d like online use and working on various trading platforms.
You need around 250GB or more storage (though 64GB might work).
If you have specific sites in mind, share their links.
You want to keep the laptop for as long as possible, ideally over 5 years.
You need an optical drive—DVD ROM/Writer or Bluray ROM/Writer are acceptable.
You’re not sure about brands; please give your thoughts with some facts.
You live in the U.S.
If you have any more details to share.
You’re seeking a durable, portable laptop that’s easy to carry and won’t cause too much hassle.
You were considering the ASUS L210 Mini Laptop and an Acer 15" F5-573G-74NG for $300 that hasn’t been used much.

The laptop shown at the end features a dual core/hyper threaded processor. Will that power your daily tasks adequately? I'm wondering if you'll require more performance when trading across multiple platforms and handling various activities simultaneously. A detailed app list would be very useful. The Asus model seems inferior compared to the Acer one. Which site do you prefer for buying?

With $500 you reach the edge of what a decent new laptop costs, especially when considering trading apps that need full processing power along with multiple screens for charts and data visualizations. For better performance, look for something more capable than what $500 can provide, or consider an older model. A Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 system would offer solid video speed and strong CPU performance, and you can usually find such options for around $500.
