Hi, your issue might be with the Ethernet port on your motherboard. It seems the port isn't detecting the cable, even though it works with other devices. Check if the port is properly seated and powered, and try connecting it to another device to confirm functionality.

It appears the port was oversized, leading to connection instability. You might try moving the cable in the slot to see if it improves contact.

A few days back I experienced the same internet interruptions and would try to adjust the connection, but now even that doesn’t fix the issue. The orange indicator lights sometimes appear and then recognizes the network, yet after a short delay it displays “unidentified network” or “Unplugged network cable.” I also observed that the yellow light doesn’t activate at all, only the orange one does. When the “unidentified network” message shows up, just the orange light stays on, while the “unplugged network cable” message has no effect.

I noticed others resetting the BIOS in forums and it helped them, but I’m unsure if it will work for your situation. The port might be completely unresponsive.

If you're experiencing connectivity issues, it might be worth giving it another shot. I'd also look for the most recent drivers for your NIC.

If the previous solutions fail, consider using a USB 3 Ethernet adapter. You can also find a bundle with around three USB ports plus gigabit Ethernet at a lower cost.

I’m thinking about getting a network interface card. Are there any options you’d recommend?

If you can obtain them locally, many users opt for an Intel NIC. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Gigabit-1...=8-1-fkmr0
Apologies, I didn’t mention @mavmlim
