You're experiencing issues with your 14900k Z790 board and the 5090 motherboard. The 30k scores on Port Royale suggest potential bottlenecks or compatibility problems. Check if drivers are up to date, ensure proper power delivery, and verify that your RAM matches the system requirements. Also, consider testing with a different port or driver to isolate the issue.
This build achieved a slightly higher result. I ran it with full stock configurations, using MSI afterburner. With an aggressive overclock of 380 on the core and 2000 on memory, I managed around 1500 points. It still falls short of the stock scores displayed, as I recently acquired the CPU and motherboard and only tested the CPU with the latest BIOS, which should prevent any issues. My setup uses a 360 AIO and a contact frame CPU that never exceeds 85°C during Cinebench. The GPU remains stable as well. Clearly, I overpaid for nearly everything here, aiming for solid performance. For reference, I also have a 1200-watt PSU, which should handle the power demands of these components. This was a 12900K and 4080 build, with all parts under six months old except the AIO and case.
3DMark 6 version 19 from 2025, update 1.19 released on 18 March 2025 at 36:36 PM.
Over 8k points were recorded. A DDU wipe of the new driver removed around 3k, then a jays 2 cents video was shared about driver settings issues and fixes. Anyone interested should know that responses are rare and often dismissive.
