The video card in the video you referenced employs the PCIe connection and transmits a VGA output via a header on the card, avoiding the DP interface.

There are various M.2 to PCI-e converters available. Some enable connecting a GPU—those with four or more DP ports—to the M.2 PCI-e port on the motherboard. A friend of mine used these in a mining setup. I haven't tried one myself. https://www.ebay.com/itm/195143859019?_t...%3A2047675
