Hi! I've switched to Linux and managed most of the setup in PopOS, but I'm still struggling to open DWG files. This is important for my job. The Linux experience so far has been okay. Thanks!

I understand LibreCAD and QCAD can handle some AutoCAD DWG files. QCAD also includes CLI tools for format conversion, https://qcad.org/en/qcad-command-line-tools. Both are 2D CAD programs, but for 3D there don’t seem to be any free options to open DWG files. From what I know, AutoCAD’s proprietary DWG files have been difficult to reverse engineer.

Thanks! I'll test them tomorrow at work. Edit: Completed! It functioned with QCAD. Regrettably, Librecad can't open the file. It appears QCAD only supports it in trial mode (or, probably, the paid version). Anyway, it seems there isn't a real time or feature restriction in the trial version.
