I'm currently on Ubuntu 20.04 and considering switching to Pop-OS. I'm particularly curious about whether Pop-OS includes its own Synaptic package manager.

Pop_OS is essentially Ubuntu with fewer recent changes and quirks. It might offer a cleaner experience with newer updates, though it runs similarly beneath the surface. The built-in package manager isn't Synaptic, but you can add it yourself if desired.

You should be able to set up the Synaptic package manager. You frequently install programs using Snap from the terminal.

Snap is included by default. Flatpak works similarly, but you may have to install Flathub—whether it’s already set up or not.
