Poor visuals in all games on a powerful PC
Hello, a few days back I assembled a new machine. The games I played showed very weak graphics. Nearby objects appeared decent but distant details would flicker and small structures often vanished. I installed DDU and updated the drivers to the newest versions. It’s worth noting that when setting up drivers for the AMD chip, a red warning popped up briefly. My setup includes: processor - AMD Ryzen 7800X3D graphics RTX 4070 Super Edition; ASUS ROG Strix OC MOBO; MSI MAG B650 RAM (2x16GB); Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36 Vengeance power supply; SilentiumPC Supremo FM2 750W 80 Plus Gold cooling; Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420 water cooling memory; WD Black SN850X 4TB M.2 SSD drive. I’m running the monitor’s native resolution. I’ve experimented with DSR and various NVIDIA settings in the panel. I’m using a 1080p monitor, but tested it on a 1440p one too. If this looks odd, I’ll share a FEV screenshot or link to the game visuals.
I'll review this when I'm back home. The GPU is indeed in use, but I recall the Cinebench results were stable with temperatures around 65-67°C.
the game features an experience blending ARC: APPEAR with Minecraft elements
I reviewed those clips and didn’t spot any genuine hardware issues. In the Minecraft video, it just appeared as poor anti-aliasing, not a fault in your system. Likewise, ARK Survival Evolved is known for pop-in, which was the main concern I had. Still, I might be mistaken—please share the timestamp if anyone else notices real problems beyond these games’ typical graphics.
It's frustrating when top-tier hardware doesn't improve your game quality beyond what the engine already provides. You're left with limited control over settings, and pixel adjustments won't change much. It's best to embrace the experience and prioritize enjoyment over technical perfection.
I didn’t find anything unusual, and I enjoy those games. Just that I sometimes notice YouTube clips making certain things blurry.
