I recently assembled my new PC a week ago, and initially everything worked smoothly. But after that time, performance dropped. I’ve noticed delays in controls—like pressing the W key to move forward causing a brief lag. The issue appears across all games, showing high power consumption in Task Manager. Even Roblox seems affected. I’m using the 3080 Ti FE and have no idea how to resolve this.

It's about the timing after pressing a key versus the actual response. Which keyboard are you employing and what connection method is in place?

I'm working with the steel series apex pro tkl, but I'm certain it's not the keyboard. While playing a game, I experience lag on Discord!

Start with simple steps: refresh Windows, Steam, games, and drivers. Next, play a game while all other programs run in the background. Discord can slow things down a lot, and having many Google tabs open uses up a lot of RAM.

It seems the issue is likely related to network activity, especially in online games and software. Make sure no background updates or downloads are running and your internet connection is stable. Your hardware specs should be fine unless usage data shows sudden spikes to 100%. Then consider malware, resource-hogging programs, or similar problems.

I completed several speed tests and achieved a 13 ms ping with speeds reaching up to 430 Mbps.

This feedback overlooks key details about server placement. You're linking to a regional center instead of the nearest server. Your connection doesn't stay stable for 15 seconds but keeps flowing data in both directions. A sudden spike might not show clearly in speed tests. To help, open Task Manager while playing and check which graphs rise during these moments.

You're experiencing sudden spikes in your GPU usage followed by a drop. This can be caused by various factors like driver issues, background processes, or power management settings. Check your system logs, update drivers, and monitor resource usage to identify the root cause.
