Are there any issues you're facing with the ASUS WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard? I just set up a new PC and have run into several problems—slow performance, significant slowdowns, and extremely low clock speeds (around 0.5GHz). I'm using Windows 11, AMD Threadripper Pro 7965WX with Kingston Fury RAM (256GB), an ASUS Rogo Thor Platinum 1200W PSU, and I spend a lot of time on CAD/CFD simulations. Every few hours, my cores drop from 4.2GHz to 0.5GHz and stay there. Task Manager, the desktop, everything... it slows down to about 1 fps or takes forever to launch. A task that should take around 80 seconds yesterday now takes over an hour! When I checked, all cores were stuck at 545MHz again. Thermal throttling doesn’t seem to be the issue either; the CPU never exceeds 82-88°C under full load at 4.2GHz, yet my cores still drop to 545MHz even when browsing and core temps are 37-40°C. I've spent a week trying to fix it and a friend suggested posting here for advice. I'm starting to wonder if I made a bad choice with this board. It feels like ASUS built a subpar motherboard.
