I just upgraded my computer and it’s not performing well. About 23 fps in Rainbow Six Siege. The hard drive is always full. While solid drives can be slow, it’s affecting game speed? Build Case: definitely! 500DX motherboard: H310M pro vdh plus CPU: I5 - 9400f GPU: Gigabyte 5700 XT PSU: 650xt EVGA RAM: 2x4gb ballistic DDR4 2666 Hdd: 2tb drive I got from an external drive I installed from a one touch Seagate OS: Windows 11

The speed of the hard disk affects performance. A typical desktop hard drive usually spins at 7200 RPM, though some are slower. Laptop drives can be as low as 4200 RPM. A 2.5-inch drive might run slower, which explains why Windows works on it despite the lower speed. I remember using a SSD in a SSHD and it felt like a much faster system. SATA SSDs are affordable, and I found a 2TB drive for less than $100 recently.

Apologies for the delayed response. It appears the issue lies with SSDs, and currently I can achieve full performance on my 5700XT using Linux. The Windows bloatware seems too heavy for such a small drive. Do you have an affordable SSD suggestion? I’m aware that some ADATA models are prone to failure.
