These figures come from somewhere specific. You might run PBO or AutoOC to achieve higher performance metrics. Your RAM model is also relevant—some systems don’t hit all cores at full speed due to power constraints. That’s normal and expected based on the target performance. (I’m just mentioning it because I keep seeing 5950X and gaming PC discussions, but a 5950X for a gaming PC is quite an investment.)
4.5ghz with four cores is similar to around six cores, like 3.7ghz in an example. You can't reliably maintain a steady 4.9ghz across every core yet.
Each component should independently reach 4.9GHz, not just a group of cores doing it together. The single core boost speed shouldn't rely on multiple cores working in unison.
I receive similar results then you and feel quite dissatisfied. PBO is enabled, LLC is at Level 4 with a 130% power limit. When I run single-core R23, my clock varies between 3.6 and 5.1GHz during Cinebench. My CPU has a full waterblock with liquid metal, but I’m unsure how to make the boost clocks more consistent. In Multi-Core R23, all cores run at 4.35GHz, with peak temperatures around 62°C. Anyone have suggestions for improvement, especially for single-core boost?
