Hey there,
I just re-set my PC recently because I had to swap out the old storage. After that, I started facing major issues while gaming and even when streaming videos or watching content. I wanted to play PUBG, but noticed something was off. My frame rate dropped from 99% to around 30, with severe micro stutters and extremely laggy moments—similar to what I experience in Rocket League. My FPS stays about the same (around 180-300) when using different settings, but these drops make it nearly impossible to play. It’s even worse in Forza Horizon 5; my normal FPS is near 70, and sometimes I see a frozen screen.

I’ve already tried resetting again, updated the BIOS, checked every driver, boosted my CPU to 5GHz all cores (which was my usual setting before), adjusted the GPU, replaced the storage with a new drive, tweaked RAM settings, tested different power plans, disconnected RGB lights (thinking it might be a power issue), removed displays, and even ran multiple troubleshooting tools. Still no improvement.

To top it off, other games like Rainbow Six and Explorer also lag when I run them. Rainbow Six runs well at around 250 FPS now compared to the previous 350, and I don’t see any lag. My specs are: i9-9900K @5GHz all cores (previously used), Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme 32GB ADATA Spectrix 3000MHz, 250GB Crucial P2 (new drive), 1TB Crucial P1 (old), and a Samsung NVMe 128GB drive. The power supply is a Gigabyte G750H, and I’m using Corsair 5000D Airflow with Arctic P12 fans and an EK AIO 360 RGB. Temperatures are normal, CPU stays under 60°C, GPU hovers around 65-70°C.**

I’m not sure what to do anymore. Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated.
