I noticed that initially seemed unusual, so I double-checked. To be honest, at 4.4 I’d anticipate slightly higher results for both R15 and R20. I’ll still run tests at stock levels to compare. The scores you mentioned should align with typical stock performance. It’s possible the 4.4GHz overclock isn’t fully stable, which could explain the lower ratings. Restart to stock and re-test. Zen 2 wasn’t very supportive of manual overclocking in my experience—I own a 3900X and set PBO as a preset. I’d like to see how eight cores perform on this chip in both R15 and R20, but the CCX setup here limits each core to three across four CCXs, unlike your 3700X with two four-core CCXs. If you’re comfortable, reset to stock and try again. Since I’m new to this, someone more experienced might be better at guiding you through it.

1.3v @ 4.3ghz for stability, model r15-1876, r20-4472 all stock with pbo active, r15-1786 r20-4186 original 1.275v @ 4.4ghz, r15-1938 r-20-4560

These numbers seem a bit off considering the processor speeds. Could you share more about your system details? Your motherboard and memory specs in particular would help. It might be a simple Windows installation that's too heavy, an outdated BIOS, or an old AGESA version. Have you activated the RAM’s XMP setting in the BIOS? I won’t lie—it’s tough to judge these things just by text without seeing the hardware. Still, I hope this gives you a good starting point. I’ve faced similar issues with my older setups before, so it’s worth checking those areas.

It’s an Asus TUF gaming X570 Plus with WiFi and 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz Corsair Vengeance. All drivers are set and XMP is active. I just ran a fresh Windows install last night, and I plan to install the remaining drivers and test again when I get home from work.

Set up a brand new Windows version and achieved a score of 1950 with 1.275v at 4.4 across all stock BIOS configurations, PBO active and XMP enabled on R15-1892.

It seems Zen 2 was affected by a recent security flaw called "Zenbleed," so I wonder if the latest BIOS includes fixes and if that's impacting performance. If so, it might not be much of a problem. I currently have a Crosshair 8 with the second latest AGESA, and I haven't seen any performance drops yet. It could be one of those things. I'm not sure what else might be causing it at the moment. Apologies if I haven't helped enough. If I install the newest BIOS and AGESA on my board later, I'll let you know about any changes in performance.
