Hi, I upgraded my gaming rig a few weeks back and am facing some slowdowns. I’ve been playing games like Minecraft with shaders at 1080p, but I’m only managing about 30-20 FPS—way below what I expect. Could you help? My specs are: Intel i5 4690K, non-OC Asus Z97-P, 8GB RAM, HyperX Gainward, Nvidia GTX 970, 4GB VRAM, 1TB SSD, and a Samsung HDD. Thanks!
After a fresh setup of Windows and proper driver installation, any issues likely stem from a faulty component.
It runs Battlefield 4 smoothly at 100 fps on high settings. It seems to work well with my budget GTX 970, which is the same model I saw listed as a reference.
Maybe the RAM problem is the cause, though I’m confident Minecraft with shaders can harm computers because its code isn’t reliable.
