Poor gameplay experience!
Poor gameplay experience!
Hello everyone! I'm trying to clarify a few things about my system. It seems there might be some confusion regarding performance drops or stuttering, possibly due to FSP changes. If you'd like, I can help adjust the display to show the current FPS. Here are the specs:
- Core i3 4010U @ 1.70GHz (2 cores, 4 logical processors)
- 3MB cache QM78 Chipset
- 4 GB DDR3 RAM
- AMD Radeon 8670M @ 1600Mhz with 2 GB VRAM
- Windows 8.1, 64-bit
- Resolution: 1366x768
- Game settings include detailed options for effects and graphics
Let me know if you need anything else!
Keeping the settings low can indeed help minimize screen tearing. Your experience with both horizontal and vertical tears suggests sensitivity to frame rates. Turning on V-Sync causes stuttering even at medium settings, so it might not be ideal. As for your hardware, playing games like Battlefield 3 and Black Ops 3 in 'Medium' settings should be manageable, but performance can vary based on your system specs.
Higher frame rates can improve smoothness and reduce stutter. Let me know your rate at various levels, and aim for around 60 frames per second.
At 1366x768 resolution with V-Sync activated, the initial frame rates reflect both computer and graphics configurations. Recommended settings range from a baseline of 60 FPS to a maximum of 25 FPS depending on the level. Lower settings offer 40 to 50 FPS, medium settings sit between 40 and 60 FPS, and high settings push up to 10 to 30 FPS. With these adjustments, I achieved 30 to 55 FPS. Detail options include Corpse Detail, Maximum Effect Detail, Medium Model Decals, Medium Particle bouncing, and more. Water resolution, reflections, volumetric light, and textures are optimized for visual depth. Shader support includes 16x texture resolution, and the display supports fullscreen with high detail. Graphics features like FSAA, bloom, and shadow effects are enabled for enhanced realism.
I adjusted my earlier comment. The results range from 30 to 55, reaching 60 mainly with fewer textures shown. For an upgrade, would you consider improving your graphics card (since it's a notebook) or opting for a desktop setup?
Unfortunately, you won't be able to upgrade. If you don't require portability, a PC is the optimal choice.
