I'm working with the fiber output on my mainboard soundchip, which generally avoids strange noises. I own an older Z906 surround system that has two fiber ports. When using my G35 until it stopped working, or my G935 wireless headset, both USB headsets sometimes produce an old record-like sound. I have to disconnect and reconnect them to get the desired audio quality again.
