I'm dealing with the same issues you mentioned earlier. My performance drops significantly with older drivers, especially in games. I've tried switching to a newer motherboard (MSI MAG B560 TORPEDO), which helped a bit but not fully. After that change, my PC's speed improved slightly, though it didn't completely fix the problem. Eventually, I returned the device because it wasn't working well enough. The service center checked my graphics card and said it was fine, but I still experience audio stuttering on newer setups. Even when using external speakers through a monitor output, stuttering can occur. My specs are as follows: motherboard ASRock B460 Pro 4, i9-10900F CPU, MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus GPOC, 32 GB RAM, ZALMAN GigaMax 650W PSU, Windows 10 Pro 22H2, build 19045.2728.

isn't the onboard sound realtek? why would nvidia drivers impact the onboard slot? consider updating your sound drivers from the msi site—they’re often linked to problems. you might also try turning off nvidia sound devices altogether.

My onboard audio chip uses Realtek, and I've made sure the drivers are current. I also attempted to turn off NVIDIA sound devices and stopped installing their audio drivers, but that didn't resolve the issue.

I believe your chipset drivers are current. Did your system disk encounter any issues?

Use the recommended testing program as indicated by CrystalDiskInfo, which confirms it is suitable.

The simplest option is to switch disks. Which one do you currently have?

I use a PACER as2280p4 with 256 GB SSD for my applications and operating system, while my Seagate Barracuda HDD 2TB handles all other storage needs.

Have you experimented with launching games from the M.2 storage? Or have you considered removing the HDD during gameplay?

I tested removing my HDD and SSD to use just the 320 GB HDD, installed the OS, apps, and games, but the issue returned. It seems the problem isn’t with my M.2 SSD or the other HDD—it’s still unclear what’s causing it.

I also attempted to install games on my M.2 drive, but it didn’t work.
