Hello everyone.

Approximately three months ago, I purchased a new Asus FX504GM laptop featuring:

- A GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM
- An Intel i7-8750H processor clocked at 2.20GHz
- 16GB of RAM

While playing Rust, I consistently achieve approximately 50 frames per second using the "Beautiful" and “Simple” graphics presets. This seems unusual given that many users with similar hardware configurations routinely obtain around 100 FPS. I’ve attempted the following troubleshooting steps:

- Completely removed and reinstalled my graphics drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) followed by the latest version from Nvidia,
- Updated Windows and all other system drivers,
- Adjusted resolution and graphical settings to their lowest levels, yet the frame rate remains the same,
- Limited in-game FPS to 100,
- Set power options to “High Performance,”
- Configured the game to utilize my Nvidia GPU (through the Nvidia control panel),
- Monitored GPU and CPU utilization during gameplay, which consistently remained at approximately 50-60%, while RAM usage peaked at 80%.

I'm uncertain about the cause of this issue. If anyone has suggestions or insights, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you!

It's a laptop, so make sure your power plan is set to high performance and you have it set to always use your discrete GPU in the Nvidia control panel.

This dual-screen device requires you to configure your power settings for maximum speed and ensure your dedicated graphics card is consistently utilized through the Nvidia configuration utility. Despite my prior verification of these options, I observed no noticeable variation in performance.
