Hey there, I’m still getting the hang of PC builds and gaming. It’s puzzling how my FPS often dips to around 110-165 during normal battles in Fortnite, and drops to about 100 on bigger maps. My GPU usage is low at 10-20%, while my CPU runs at 40-65%. I think my CPU might be limiting the GPU, but 165 FPS shouldn’t be too bad. I’ve tried tweaking things: capped FPS at 165, set graphics to performance mode with shadows off, adjusted my NVIDIA settings to high performance, cleared the shader cache and increased it to 10 GB, and installed the latest GPU drivers. It feels like my PC could handle more, but maybe I’m misunderstanding something. I’d really appreciate any advice or clarification on this. Thanks for your help!

Which game is this? It runs smoothly with just one or two cores under heavy load, while others stay at 40%, avoiding slowdowns but keeping some cores busy.

You're gathering GPU stats from a specific source that focuses on the 3070 unit, not the integrated graphics. Your RAM should be optimized with XMP settings enabled. Ensure you have a minimum of 50GB available across all storage devices. Turn off unnecessary programs and limit startup applications. Monitor each CPU core individually; if any core consistently runs at 80-90% during gaming, it may indicate a bottleneck. Turn off screen recording tools, game filters, upscaling features, and overlays.
