Hello everyone,

I recently assembled my PC approximately two months ago, and here’s a breakdown of the specifications:

Ryzen 5 2600
RX 580 8GB Sapphire Pulse
B450 Tomahawk
16 GB DDR4 3000 MHz LPX Corsair RAM (XMP enabled at 2800 MHz)
Corsair CX 650W power supply
NZXT H500 case

I’m consistently achieving excellent frame rates in almost all of the games I play. In Overwatch, I can maintain a capped 144 fps with no dips below that level, and it frequently rises even when I remove the cap. In Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, I consistently achieve 300 fps on competitive settings. Games like Battlefield V provide an average of 70-90 frames per second on high/very high settings, while League of Legends runs smoothly at maximum settings. PUBG performs admirably, averaging around 70-100 fps on high settings.

However, I’m experiencing an unusual issue with Grand Theft Auto V alone. Initially, when installing the game, I set all graphics settings to ultra, disabling FXAA and MSAA. In story mode, I maintained a stable 50-60 fps consistently. Online gameplay, however, yielded an average of roughly 55 fps. I then reverted to the standard settings preset, resulting in 60-70 fps in story mode and 50-60 fps online. Surprisingly, benchmark tests on the same configuration with standard settings demonstrated average frame rates exceeding 100 fps. Furthermore, I’ve installed the game on a Kingston A400 480GB SSD.

I'm utilizing an older HP monitor with a resolution of 1920x1200, which is somewhat uncommon. I don't believe the monitor is the root cause of the problem, as all other games run flawlessly. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can offer—please feel free to ask any questions if I’ve omitted any relevant details. Thank you!

Recent versions of GTA5 have experienced strange problems, particularly since the casino expansion was released. Frequent crashes affecting both online gameplay and the single-player campaign are occurring, alongside fluctuating frame rates that may be due to Rockstar’s efforts to resolve the situation. This persistent issue has impacted a significant number of players, suggesting a technical root cause. If your other games run smoothly, consider allowing Rockstar additional time to address the problem before assuming issues with your system or configuration.

Recent versions of GTA5 have experienced strange problems, particularly since the incorporation of the casino update several months ago. Frequent crashes are occurring in both online and single-player modes, though low frame rates might stem from Rockstar’s ongoing efforts to resolve these issues. This situation has persisted for a while, and it appears to be rooted in a technical challenge.

If your other games run smoothly, I'd suggest allowing Rockstar additional time to address the problem before assuming issues with your hardware or configurations.

Meanwhile, explore the GTA 5 Steam discussions. Please verify that your in-game VSync settings are not configured at half refresh rate.
